Why I Practice Family Law

Real pirates. After traveling down the Mekong River and reaching the ocean, my family’s rickety fishing boat was looted and cast adrift. But we persisted. Eventually, we were rescued and resettled in Akron, Ohio. 

I consider myself one of the lucky ones. I grew up in Akron, went to school in Northeast Ohio, got married, and raised two amazing, amazing boys.  

Life's full of paths from darkness into light. My own path included plenty of hard work, but also the kindness of friends and family, professors and colleagues.
